All Points East Festival: Raye Halts Set After Fan Collapses in London

Must read

The All Points East Festival weekend began dramatically after Raye paused her Saturday performance when a fan collapsed. The 27-year-old singer had been speaking to the audience at Victoria Park, London, when she noticed signs of distress.

Raye quickly called for help as security rushed to assist the struggling fan. She told the crowd, “We’ve got some pointing and waving, is everything alright? Security please, can we get some people over there?” She then urged the audience to clear a path so paramedics could reach the scene. The singer asked for a thumbs-up once the fan received proper assistance.

The All Points East Festival continues across the bank holiday weekend, featuring several major acts. Attendees will enjoy performances from Chase & Status, Barry Can’t Swim, and a special reunion from The Maccabees. Supporting acts include Tyla, Bombay Bicycle Club, and Confidence Man, ensuring an eclectic mix for festival-goers.

However, the event also faced disappointment earlier in the week. Rapper Doechii, also 27, pulled out of her set at All Points East Festival. The American star was originally scheduled to perform on Saturday alongside Raye. Festival organizers confirmed her withdrawal in a statement released on Instagram last Tuesday.

The announcement read: “We’re very sorry to announce that Doechii will no longer be performing at her upcoming shows. She is an incredible artist, and, like all of her fans, we were hugely excited to see her on stage.” Organizers emphasized that the weekend still promises a strong lineup, with Raye, Tyla, Jade, Jyoty, and Nao among the highlights.

Doechii also canceled two additional performances: the Forwards Festival in Bristol on Sunday and Rock en Seine in Paris on Thursday. She has not issued her own statement, and no official reason has been provided for her sudden cancellations.

Fans expressed deep frustration online, with many calling for a strong replacement act. Some commented that they had waited months to see her perform. Others voiced anger at last-minute cancellations, accusing the festival of disappointing loyal supporters.

Despite the setback, the All Points East Festival still promises an unforgettable weekend of music. With Raye, Chase & Status, and The Maccabees headlining, fans can expect a high-energy event filled with diverse performances.
