Ayda Field Recalls Harrowing Evacuation During LA Wildfires

Ayda Field, wife of pop icon Robbie Williams, has opened up about the terrifying ordeal she and her family faced during the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The actress and TV personality, 45, reflected on the experience while appearing on a UK talk show, sharing how they had to evacuate their home with their four children as the fires raged across the city.

Ayda revealed that their eldest daughter, Teddy, 12, was particularly shaken by the disaster, repeatedly urging the family to leave. “Teddy was terrified and kept saying, ‘We’ve got to go!’” Ayda recounted, adding that the wildfire warnings played on the news in an endless loop, heightening the sense of urgency.

The chaos unfolded just days after Ayda and Robbie attended the glamorous Golden Globes in Los Angeles. The first sign of trouble came when a friend in nearby Malibu received an Amber Alert for high winds with a “threat to life.” Ayda, who had previously lost her childhood home to the LA earthquakes, said, “When I hear anything like that, I’m automatically triggered and go on alert.”

Soon, both Ayda and Robbie began receiving alerts on their phones warning of fire risks. “It was terrifying,” Ayda said. “You could feel the winds and hear the winds, and you knew the fire was ripping through the city. Rob and I were both very stressed out.”

When the evacuation order came, Ayda acted quickly, grabbing essential items before leaving. “I packed some photos and passports—that was it,” she explained. “The things you have are mostly not important. It’s the animals and family that matter. I’m just grateful to be here.”

Fortunately, their home was spared from the fires, but Ayda expressed her sympathy for those who were not as fortunate, as thousands of homes were destroyed across the region.
