Chris Hughes is enjoying reliving the moment he and JoJo Siwa fell in love. The couple first met on Celebrity Big Brother in 2025. From the start, they formed a strong friendship, which they described as platonic. However, the connection blossomed into romance after JoJo split from her then-partner, Kath Ebbs, at the show’s afterparty.
Chris told Closer magazine that their situation was far from ordinary. “It’s not a normal way to meet someone. Usually, you don’t get to relive the moment you realize you really like someone,” he said. He added that it felt special to have fans witness their journey from the start. As a result, they have a shared memory that will always be meaningful.
Currently, Chris, 33, lives in Surrey, South East England. Meanwhile, 22-year-old JoJo, who identifies as queer, is based in Los Angeles. Despite the distance, they remain happy in their long-distance relationship. Chris also hinted at the possibility of moving to the U.S. permanently. “I love America and living with her family in Palm Springs. It’s one of my favorite places on Earth,” he said. “Who knows what the future holds? I can see myself out there.”
Additionally, Chris has thought about starting a family. “I’d love to settle down and have a couple of kids. I come from a big family, but I can’t cope with too many. I’d love to teach them sport. That would be so fun,” he explained.
In February, Chris and JoJo attended her brother Jayden Siwa’s wedding in Palm Springs. The intimate ceremony inspired Chris to imagine his own future nuptials. “It was a lovely, summery, warm wedding. I really enjoyed that vibe. So we’ll see what happens,” he teased.
JoJo has expressed her own excitement about marrying Chris. In September 2025, she said on the Reign with Josh Smith podcast that she now craves a traditional wedding. “I’ve never wanted the future so badly. I want a ring, my dad to walk me down the aisle, and the butterflies of a first dance. I’m happy,” she said.
