Reality star Dan Edgar is said to have been taken aback by comments made by his ex-girlfriend Ella Rae Wise during her entrance into the Celebrity Big Brother house, just days after their breakup.
Ella, 24, reportedly ended her relationship with the TOWIE cast-mate and Dancing On Ice star Dan, 34, only a week before joining the reality show and going into lockdown. Though the split was understood to be amicable, Ella’s flirtatious remarks during her introduction have left Dan feeling caught off guard.
During her video package aired on the show’s premiere, Ella described herself as an unapologetic flirt, stating: “I could literally float with a loaf of bread. I could flirt with anything! I’m flirting with the camera.” The unexpected declaration came as a surprise to Dan, who believed the pair had parted on friendly terms.
A source close to Dan shared that the couple had remained in contact even after their breakup, speaking as recently as the day before Ella entered the Big Brother house. “They were still chatting after the big row on Wednesday and had both agreed it just wasn’t working,” the source revealed. “They were just chatting as normal, the odd text and that, and spoke on Sunday just before she went into lockdown.”
The source added that Dan was “blindsided” by Ella’s comments, which he found hurtful given how recent their separation was. “To hear her say she flirts with everyone constantly—it’s just not nice to hear.”
