The actress, known for portraying Karen Taylor in the popular British soap opera, shared her concerns after receiving footage of the American pop star’s performance, which featured provocative choreography and revealing costumes. During the show, Carpenter reportedly performed on a large round bed while wearing a red lingerie-style outfit with stockings.
Stanley conveyed her surprise at the mature nature of the performance, suggesting she was unaware of how adult-oriented Carpenter’s current image and stage show would be. The actress even jokingly referred to herself as a “bad mum” for allowing her young daughter to attend without being fully informed about the content.
“I didn’t realize she was that [inappropriate],” Stanley reportedly stated. “No wonder [my husband] was keen to take her.”
