Elton John Shares Heartbreaking Health Update as His Vision Deteriorates

Must read

Music legend Sir Elton John has shared a devastating update on his health, revealing that his worsening eyesight has left him unable to sign memorabilia for fans.

The Rocket Man singer, 77, first spoke about his vision struggles in December last year while attending a production of The Devil Wears Prada in London’s West End alongside his husband, David Furnish. During a speech at the event, Elton admitted to the audience: “I’ve lost my eyesight and cannot see the stage.”

The music icon suffered an eye infection last summer, which led to a loss of vision in his right eye. He also admitted that his left eye has been deteriorating, leaving him feeling “stuck” and concerned about his future.

Despite these challenges, Elton has pressed forward with his upcoming album, Who Believes in Angels?, which is set for release on April 4. However, due to his eyesight issues, he has made the difficult decision to no longer personally sign memorabilia. Fans had the opportunity to purchase limited edition copies of the album, priced at £24.99, featuring a printed signature instead of his usual handwritten autograph.

Elton’s health update has sparked an outpouring of support from fans worldwide, as they prepare for what could be one of his final major album releases.
