Meanwhile, passengers faced major travel disruption across Heathrow. Trains and buses to the airport stopped, and authorities closed routes into Terminal 3. Travelers needed extra time, and many spent hours stranded at bus stops. Staff handed out bottled water and guided passengers through delays.
Rail commuters also experienced overcrowding at Heathrow Terminal 2/3 station. At least 17 trains either cancelled service or passed through without stopping. Terminal 3 hosts major airlines including Virgin Atlantic, Delta, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, and Singapore Airlines. British Airways operates there alongside its main hub at Terminal 5.
Emergency crews instructed passengers to stay calm and follow police guidance while officers managed the scene. The Met Police confirmed they quickly controlled the situation and minimized further injuries. They urged anyone with information to contact authorities immediately.
By Monday, Terminal 3 resumed normal operations. Staff continued monitoring the area to prevent additional problems. Police and ambulance teams received praise for their swift response during the Heathrow pepper attack.
