Jack Fincham Rehab: Former Love Island Star Opens Up About Struggles

Must read

Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham has spoken openly about his struggles with alcohol and drug addiction, revealing a serious health scare changed his life.

The reality star appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss his relapse and his decision to return to rehab. During the interview, he shared that doctors warned he could have died if his body had been weaker.

Jack, now 33, said he relapsed on Christmas Day after a difficult period. He admitted he previously attended rehab but did not fully accept he had a problem at the time.

“I only went for two weeks,” he explained. “I was convinced I didn’t need help, but this has followed me through most of my adult life.”

Although Jack rose to fame after winning Love Island in 2018 with Dani Dyer, he said his issues began long before the show. He explained that fame and money only made it easier to continue unhealthy habits.

“The show gave me the means to do more of what I was already doing,” he said. “But the problem started years before that.”

Jack also admitted that many opportunities disappeared as his addictions worsened. He revealed that his finances have suffered and that work has become harder to maintain.

Despite his success after the show, including TV appearances and boxing matches, Jack said he felt increasingly out of control. A recent hospital visit finally forced him to face the reality of his situation.

He explained that doctors told him his boxing training helped protect his heart. Without that, he said, he might not have survived.

“They told me I would have ended up dead in my bed,” Jack said. “That was a huge wake-up call.”

The warning deeply affected him and pushed him to seek help again. He now plans to return to rehab and take recovery seriously.

Jack said he wants to rebuild his life and create new opportunities through sobriety. He also shared how his addiction has affected the people around him.

“It’s painful for your family and friends to watch you destroy yourself,” he said. “You don’t realise how selfish you become until you’re clear-headed again.”

He added that moments of clarity help him understand how serious the situation is.

“If I don’t fix this, I will completely ruin my life,” he said.

Jack also spoke about his breakup with Dani Dyer and how both of their lives moved in different directions after the show. While Dani continues to appear on television, Jack is now focused on recovery and personal growth.

He said his goal is to live a healthy and meaningful life, free from addiction.

“This time, I want to help myself,” he said. “I want to be happy, healthy, and sober.”

Jack hopes his honesty will encourage others facing similar struggles to seek support.
