Jesy Nelson has shared the joyful news that her newborn twins are finally home. The former Little Mix star welcomed her daughters, Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster, with partner Zion Foster on 18 May. The babies were born 2 months early at just 31 weeks and five days due to a high-risk pregnancy.
The Jesy Nelson twins had to stay in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for several weeks. Jesy spent months in the hospital herself, following emergency surgery to protect the girls from twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome.
On Saturday, Jesy posted a heartfelt photo on Instagram. She captioned the photo: “My babies made it home for my birthday.” Fans quickly filled her comments with love and well-wishes. One wrote, “They are both so beautiful! Happy birthday Jesy.”
In a previous post, Jesy had shared her emotional experience as a NICU mother. She wrote, “Nothing prepares you for the NICU. You want to comfort them, but wires and machines make that hard.” She described it as the most overwhelming and heartbreaking time in her life.
But things have taken a positive turn. Jesy recently revealed that her daughters had been reunited for the first time since birth. “Having them together today was magical,” she said. “They’re the strongest little girls I’ve ever known.”
