Josie Gibson’s Health Scare: This Morning Star Reveals Cancer Fear that Led to Implant Removal

Must read

Josie Gibson’s health scare has been revealed for the first time, as the This Morning star shared her terrifying experience of finding a lump in her breast. The 40-year-old TV presenter underwent surgery to remove both implants after the alarming discovery in 2023.

Josie noticed an abnormal lump under her left breast, which was visibly protruding and changing the shape of her implant. “You could actually see it,” she told The Sun on Sunday. “I was getting really worried.” After consulting her GP, she decided to have both implants removed, calling it “one of the best things I’ve done.”

The scare led Josie to partner with Breast Cancer Now for their “Eyes Down, Check Up” campaign. She’s now raising awareness—and £1 million—for the charity. “We only talk about breast cancer when something bad happens,” she said. “Let’s make it part of the conversation.”

Josie, who had a breast enhancement in 2013 (going from a B to DD cup), said removing them gave her “peace of mind.” The ordeal comes amid another stress—her chaotic home renovation, which has forced her to temporarily move back into a caravan.

Cameras are following her journey in Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build, a seven-part series documenting her eco-home transformation in Somerset. “My stress levels are through the roof,” she admitted, joking about her dwindling finances.

Josie’s openness about Josie Gibson’s health scare highlights the importance of regular checks—and proves even TV stars face real-life fears.
