Katie Price has revealed the emotional trauma she experienced after moving out of her infamous Mucky Mansion, as she now looks forward to a new chapter in her life with her partner, JJ Slater. The former model, who was evicted from the property in May of the previous year, has shared her feelings about leaving behind the mock Tudor home she once tried to renovate.
Price had purchased the property from former Tory peer Francis Maude, and it was the subject of a Channel 4 programme where she attempted to restore the derelict house. However, after failing to keep up with mortgage payments, she was forced to leave the sprawling mansion, which had once held memories of grandeur but ultimately became a symbol of her troubled past.
Reflecting on her time at the Mucky Mansion, Katie lashed out at the house, describing it as “cursed” and filled with “bad memories.” Now, as she settles into her new, swanky home, she expressed relief and gratitude for the fresh start. “Everything is going so well for me,” Katie said. “Moving house, being in this house, it’s the best thing I ever did was move from that house.”
Despite the new beginning, Price admitted that driving past her former home still triggers a sense of anxiety. “When I drive past my old house, I get a knot in my stomach, my anxiety, my brain is like a flip chart of all different memories,” she shared, revealing the emotional weight the property still holds for her.
As she embraces her new life, Katie Price looks to put the past behind her and focus on the future.
