The music world was left devastated last November when Liam Payne, former member of One Direction, tragically passed away at the age of 31. Recently, his girlfriend, model Kate Cassidy, shared heartfelt reflections on his final days and the profound loss she continues to feel.
Speaking about the unexpected tragedy, Kate said, “I had a responsibility, we had a responsibility. We had our dog, and obviously, I never, ever thought this event would occur. It was a tragic accident, and I never thought he would die young. It still doesn’t feel fully real for me that he’s not here. I think of him every second.”
Kate also expressed how the event has deeply impacted her, sharing an emotional tribute to Liam shortly after his passing. “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you, Liam,” she wrote.
Liam died after falling three floors from a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The incident occurred at Casa Sur Hotel, and the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that an autopsy revealed 25 injuries consistent with a fall from a height. Fatal head injuries, along with internal and external hemorrhages, were reported as the cause of death.
According to reports, hotel staff had contacted authorities earlier regarding an “aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.”
Just hours before the accident, Liam had been actively posting updates on social media. He was on vacation in Buenos Aires with Kate, sharing moments of their relaxed mornings and sunny days together. His last post, a mirror selfie of the couple in swimsuits, showed the joy and love they shared before the tragedy struck.
