Loose Women Star Opens Up About Mental Health Struggles and Emotional Challenges

A Loose Women star has revealed the emotional toll her health struggles have taken on her, admitting that she was left “crying in the depths of despair.”

During the latest episode of Loose Women: The Podcast, Frankie Bridge spoke candidly with Kaye Adams about ageing, anxiety, and how she navigates conversations about mental health with her children.

Bridge shared that while she openly discusses anxiety with her youngest child, she finds it more difficult to explain depression. Reflecting on a recent emotional moment, she recounted how her son unexpectedly found her crying on a particularly difficult day.

“He came in, and I completely panicked,” she admitted. “He asked, ‘Mummy, are you okay? What’s wrong?’ and I just said, ‘Oh, I’ve got a really bad migraine.’ He accepted that and left, but I didn’t realize how much it had stuck with him.”

She later discovered the impact of this moment on her son when he bought her ibuprofen for her birthday, believing it would help with her so-called “migraines.” Bridge described the gesture as both touching and eye-opening, realizing she needed to have a more honest conversation with him about mental health.

Her heartfelt revelation highlights the challenges parents face in balancing their own well-being while protecting their children’s understanding of complex emotions.
