Former Love Island star Jake Cornish is set to take on a huge US reality TV challenge, despite his dramatic early exit from Love Island: All Stars last year.
The 27-year-old reality star, who first appeared on Love Island in 2021, returned for the All Stars edition but left the villa after just three days. Now, Jake is reportedly gearing up for an entirely different challenge, having signed up for the latest season of The Challenge, a gruelling competition series that has been a staple of US reality TV since its debut in 1998.
The show, which has aired 40 seasons to date, pits contestants against each other in extreme physical and mental challenges, where they must fight to avoid elimination. Notable past winners include WWE legend The Miz and The Traitors US star CT Tamburello.
Jake’s journey on Love Island: All Stars was short-lived, with reports suggesting he was shocked to see his ex, Liberty Poole, in the villa. Sources say he quickly realized they wouldn’t rekindle their romance, and after failing to make a connection with the other islanders, he decided to leave the show voluntarily.
“Jake had a nice three days in the villa and had a very emotional chat with Maya Jama,” a source revealed. “He knew it wasn’t his time to find love, so he left.”
Now, with his sights set on The Challenge, Jake is preparing for an entirely different type of competition—one that could push him to his physical and mental limits.
