Former Love Island stars Tyrique Hyde and Ella Thomas had an uncomfortable reunion as they both attended the London premiere of Inside, the new Netflix series by YouTube group Sidemen.
The ex-couple, who had a turbulent relationship during the summer 2023 series of Love Island, parted ways last year following a string of breakups and reconciliations. Their time on the show was often marked by heated arguments, with some viewers labeling their relationship as “toxic.”
Despite their past drama, both Ella, 24, and Tyrique, 25, put on a brave face as they posed separately on the red carpet. Ella stunned in a coordinated top and skirt ensemble, while Tyrique opted for a more relaxed look in jeans and a white T-shirt. Inside the event, the pair mingled with other guests, though it remains unclear if they interacted directly.
Ongoing Feud Resurfaces
The former couple reignited their feud earlier this year after taking subtle jabs at each other online. Ella appeared to mock Tyrique’s budding rap career in a TikTok video with a friend. The clip included the text: “So you will literally leave a man if he pursues a rap career?” with Ella lip-syncing the response: “I will leave him sharp, I will block.”
Tyrique seemed to respond shortly after, posting a cryptic message on the platform: “Engagement on this is good… well done.”
The Break-Up
The pair officially split last year after numerous attempts to make their relationship work. Insiders revealed that their constant arguments made it impossible to sustain their romance.
“They have tried really hard but just been having constant arguments,” a source revealed at the time. “At the end of the day, they want different things, and it’s too hard to make it work. They are saying it’s over for good this time and there is no going back.”
Following the breakup, fans noticed that Ella and Tyrique had blocked each other on Instagram, solidifying that there was little hope of a reconciliation.
