Singer Olly Murs has been left devastated after being forced to cancel a highly anticipated performance in Dubai just hours before he was set to take the stage.
The 40-year-old pop star was scheduled to perform at Bla Bla Dubai on Thursday night but had to pull out at the last minute due to a throat infection. Taking to social media, the former X Factor finalist expressed his disappointment, describing himself as “broken” over the decision.
Sharing a somber image of himself on Instagram Stories, Olly wrote: “A man with a broken voice. Gutted Dubai, I’ll be back!!” His announcement followed an earlier post in which he explained:
“To everyone here in Dubai, unfortunately, due to doctor’s orders, I am having to cancel tonight’s show at Bla Bla because of a throat infection. I’m so gutted. I look forward to coming back ASAP and will share new date information as soon as I can! Olly x.”
The cancellation comes just as Olly had been celebrating exciting career news. Earlier this week, he revealed that he will be co-hosting a brand-new Saturday breakfast show on Heart Radio alongside his close friend, former TOWIE star Mark Wright. The show is set to launch on March 1st at 9 AM, with the duo promising an entertaining mix of music, banter, and celebrity interviews.
Fans are wishing Olly a speedy recovery, eager for his return to the stage and his upcoming radio debut.
