Former Hollyoaks actor and Celebrity Love Island star Paul Danan died from a toxic mix of drugs, including heroin, an inquest has confirmed.

The 46-year-old was found unresponsive in his home in Brislington, Bristol, on January 15. Emergency services arrived at the scene, but he was pronounced dead at 5:20 PM.

At an inquest held at Avon Coroner’s Court, it was revealed that Danan’s death was caused by the “combined toxicity of heroin, methadone, codeine, pregabalin, cocaine, and zopiclone,” with benzodiazepine also identified as a contributing factor. His partner, Melissa Crooks, formally identified him at the scene to police and paramedics.

Coroner’s officer Alexis Camp stated that a post-mortem examination had been conducted, with samples taken for further analysis. She also noted that there were no concerns raised by Danan’s family regarding the circumstances of his death.

Paul Danan, who gained fame through his role in Hollyoaks and later became a well-known reality TV personality, leaves behind his eight-year-old son, DeNiro.
