Susan Boyle is officially back and ready to reclaim the spotlight, three years after a life-changing stroke forced her to step away from her career.
The 64-year-old Britain’s Got Talent icon has announced her long-awaited return to music and television in a heartfelt video posted on her birthday. Looking glam and confident, Susan teased upcoming projects, thanking fans for their unwavering support.
“Hi, I’m Susan Boyle. Follow my journey here on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram. I’m back! Definitely back. And I can’t wait to do more for you,” she said in the clip, which showed her being styled and prepped behind the scenes.
Alongside the video, Susan wrote: “Today’s a special day – it’s my birthday! But I’ve got something exciting to share… I’m back and working on some wonderful new projects that I can’t wait for you to hear about!”
She added: “More news will be coming very soon, but I just wanted to say how much I’ve missed you all. Your support means the world to me and I’m more determined and excited than ever. Love, Susan x.”
The Scottish singer first revealed in 2023 that she had suffered a stroke in April 2022. Though she raised eyebrows after exploring controversial natural remedies, she later clarified she was working closely with medical professionals to recover—and is now feeling stronger than ever.
Fans quickly flooded her social media with warm birthday wishes and support. One commented, “Happiest of birthdays Ms. Boyle. I cannot wait to hear new music from you. You have such a beautiful voice.” Another wrote, “You are a bright light in a darkened world.”
Susan previously hinted at her return during an interview on What’s on Scotland in late 2024, where she said: “It’s taken me three years and it’s been hard – I’m not going to pretend otherwise – but it’s made me determined to keep going.”
She also revealed she had resumed singing lessons and was working on a documentary, a drama series, and potentially a tour. Asked who she’d want to play her in the upcoming drama, Susan charmingly chose Olivia Colman, describing her as “a happy kind of person.”
With her voice, spirit, and determination stronger than ever, Susan Boyle’s return promises to be one of the most heartwarming comebacks of the year.
