One X user wrote, “South Africa is proud of you! We are proud of you!” Another added, “While I wished Ayra Starr had won, Tyla worked hard. You deserve it.”
The main ceremony also featured South African comedian Trevor Noah, who hosted for the sixth consecutive year.
