French President Emmanuel Macron condemned Israel’s attacks in Lebanon. He joined other leaders in urging an immediate halt to hostilities. Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance stated that confusion existed over Lebanon’s inclusion in the ceasefire. However, Pakistan clarified that the agreement applies to Lebanon immediately.
Trump finalized the ceasefire with Iran after threatening severe consequences if the Strait of Hormuz stayed blocked. Although the agreement provides a temporary pause, Israel’s actions continue to threaten peace. Therefore, Cooper and Starmer continue leading diplomatic efforts to extend the truce and prevent escalation.
