Deputy Prime Minister David Lammy addressed the issue. He acknowledged the difficult evacuation process. He stated the UK depends on Israeli permissions for evacuations. However, he reiterated the government’s intention. He said the goal is to bring people who can study. The government does not want to cause further hardship.
