Wynne Evans, known for his role in Strictly Come Dancing and as the face of the Go Compare adverts, is reportedly preparing to take legal action against a known broadcasting channel following his abrupt dismissal from the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tourand his Radio Wales show. The Welsh opera singer, 53, claims his reputation has been left “in tatters” due to the circumstances surrounding his exit and believes he was unfairly treated.
Evans was removed from his professional commitments after issuing an apology for making an “inappropriate and unacceptable” remark during the tour’s launch in early January. Sources close to Evans revealed that he is seeking legal redress for what he considers “unfair dismissal,” as well as potential claims for loss of earnings and breach of contract. It is understood that Evans is receiving guidance from a legal team and is determined to fight the case “with every breath in his body.”
The singer expressed his remorse in a public statement, saying, “I am deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate actions have caused, and plan to take this time for self-reflection.” He also shared his gratitude towards his colleagues on the Strictly tour for their support during this challenging period.
Despite stepping away from his radio show and other public appearances to focus on his well-being, Evans is adamant about clearing his name and seeking compensation for the damage he claims was done to his career and reputation.
