Kelsey Parker Opens Up About Pregnancy Struggles and Life After Loss

Must read

Kelsey Parker, widow of late The Wanted singer Tom Parker, has shared a deeply personal update about her current pregnancy, revealing both emotional and physical struggles as she navigates life, motherhood, and love after loss.

The 34-year-old mum-of-two is expecting her third child—her first with new partner Will Lindsay—but has candidly admitted that pregnancy hasn’t been an easy ride. Speaking honestly, Kelsey revealed, “I hate being pregnant,” noting that she’s felt left out from social events, adding, “I feel the FOMO of not being able to drink or party with everyone.”

Despite her excitement about welcoming a new addition to the family, Kelsey acknowledged the complex emotions that come with this chapter of her life. Her pregnancy, which she calls a “happy accident,” is due in June, and while she’s taken a nonchalant approach to finding out the baby’s gender—admitting the results of an NIPT test remain unread in her inbox—she said the journey has been far from straightforward.

Following the loss of her husband Tom to brain cancer in 2022, Kelsey’s openness about grief, healing, and rediscovering happiness has resonated with many. She spoke emotionally about the unwavering support she’s received from Tom’s family, especially his mother Noreen, who gave her blessing upon learning of the pregnancy. “All I care about is that both our families and Tom’s family are happy,” Kelsey said, praising Noreen as “the most amazing lady.”

Kelsey and her current partner, Kent-based tree surgeon Will Lindsay, went public with their relationship in September last year. While the couple’s happiness has been evident, Kelsey admitted the backlash from some online trolls has been difficult to process. “It’s almost like people want me to feel guilty for moving on,” she shared. But she remains steadfast in her belief that she deserves joy, adding, “Our house was full of so much sadness, but now it’s full of happiness. The kids deserve that more than anything.”

Will has since moved in with Kelsey and her children, Aurelia, 5, and Bodhi, 4, and has formed a strong bond with the family. He described their meeting as the “best thing that ever happened” to him, adding, “Just to see how strong you are, how strong you’ve been through it all… I knew I wanted to spend more time with you.”

Kelsey echoed the sentiment, suggesting that Tom might have had a hand in bringing them together. “I do think Tom sent you to me,” she said, reflecting on the connection that blossomed quickly between them and the love Will has received from her children.

The couple found out about the pregnancy on October 21, the day after Will and Bodhi’s birthdays. The moment they shared the news with the children was filmed, and Kelsey recalled how her daughter, even at eight weeks into the pregnancy, seemed to sense the news. “She came up and started talking to a baby in my tummy,” she said, noting how both children had been asking for a sibling for some time.

While the road has not been without its challenges, Kelsey is choosing to focus on building a happy, hopeful future. Her journey is a testament to resilience, healing, and the power of moving forward with love.
