Reality TV star Lauren Goodger has revealed she is preparing to undergo surgery this year to reverse two of her past cosmetic procedures — a breast augmentation and Brazilian butt lift (BBL) — after delaying the decision for over a year due to anxiety and concern over leaving her young daughter.
The 38-year-old TOWIE alum, who shares three-year-old Larose with her ex-partner Charles Drury, has spoken candidly in recent interviews about her desire to return to a more natural appearance and improve her overall wellbeing.
“I’ve got such a big bum and ginormous boobs, that I look so much bigger than I am,” Lauren explained, sharing that her current figure often distorts her appearance depending on the angle. “If they were gone, I’d look much more in proportion.”
Despite planning to have the procedures reversed, Lauren admitted she’s been “terrified” of going through with more surgery, which led to her postponing the breast implant removal. “I was meant to have it done already, but I’ve delayed it for a year,” she said, adding that she hopes to finally go through with the operation later this year.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star also opened up about the emotional toll of parenting alone. “I am really lonely because I do deal with everyone on my own,” she said, though she praised her daughter Larose as her “little best friend.”
Lauren expressed concern about the long-term influence of cosmetic enhancements on young women and hopes Larose will grow up feeling confident without changing anything about her appearance. “I hope she doesn’t ever want to change anything about herself,” she said.
Her journey toward a more natural look includes stepping away from cosmetic injectables. She revealed she hasn’t had fillers in over two years and only gets Botox three times a year. Lauren has also adopted a cleaner lifestyle, saying she avoids alcohol, caffeine, and smoking.
“I just want to be healthier and happier,” she told Closer magazine last year, noting that the physical discomfort caused by her past procedures was a major factor in her decision. “My bum and boobs make me look bigger and cause me pain. I want to reverse it all and go back to natural.”
While she remains nervous about the upcoming surgeries, Lauren is hopeful that the changes will help her feel more confident and bring her life into better balance.
