Russia Summons UK and French Ambassadors After Bryansk Missile Strike

Must read

Russia has summoned the ambassadors of the United Kingdom and France after a deadly Bryansk missile strike, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Officials called in the diplomats to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow. Authorities said the move followed a missile attack on the Russian city of Bryansk. Russian officials claim that Ukraine launched the strike earlier this week. The attack reportedly killed seven people and injured more than 40 others.

During the meeting, Russian diplomats demanded a public response from both countries. They urged United Kingdom and France to condemn the attack. According to the ministry, the missile used in the Bryansk missile strike was a Storm Shadow missile. Russia claims Ukraine could not have launched the strike without Western support.

Officials argued that British and French specialists helped provide intelligence and technical assistance to Kyiv. The ministry released a statement accusing London and Paris of contributing to the escalation of the conflict.

“If London and Paris continue to participate in the war crimes of the Kyiv regime, European capitals will bear responsibility for the consequences,” the statement said.

The accusation highlights growing tensions between Russia and Western countries. Since the start of the war, the United Kingdom and France have supported Ukraine with military equipment, training, and intelligence.

Meanwhile, Russia has repeatedly criticized Western involvement in the conflict. The Bryansk missile strike occurred on the evening of March 10. Emergency services responded to the scene shortly after the attack.

Authorities reported multiple casualties and damage to buildings in the area. Bryansk lies near the border with Ukraine and has experienced several attacks since the war began.

However, officials in Kyiv have not publicly commented on the latest accusations from Moscow. The diplomatic move signals another escalation in tensions between Russia and European governments. Analysts say such disputes could further strain relations between Moscow and Western capitals.

Despite ongoing accusations, international leaders continue to call for de-escalation and renewed diplomatic efforts to address the conflict.
