Harry Styles fans attending Wembley Stadium this week will face new concert rules as Britain battles an intense heatwave.
The pop star is currently performing a sold-out 12-night residency at Wembley as temperatures across the UK continue to rise. Weather experts have warned that London could see highs of 38C, making it one of the hottest periods of the year. As a result, Wembley Stadium has introduced temporary changes to help fans stay safe during the extreme conditions.
Officials confirmed that concertgoers can now bring hard plastic or metal water bottles into the venue, as long as they do not exceed 500ml. Usually, Wembley bans those items during major events. Fans can refill bottles for free at water stations located throughout the stadium. In addition, the venue has cut bottled water prices by 50 percent to make hydration easier for everyone.
Wembley staff will also hand out free sunscreen at information points across the stadium. The venue said the new measures aim to reduce the risk of dehydration, sunburn, and heat exhaustion as thousands gather for the concerts.
Stadium officials urged fans not to arrive too early. They warned that standing outside for long periods could increase the danger of overheating. Instead, they advised people to arrive closer to opening time and seek shade whenever possible.
Officials also encouraged fans to wear light clothing, apply sunscreen often, and avoid heavy drinking during the event. Small plastic sunscreen bottles under 200ml remain allowed under the updated policy. The changes come as a rare red heat alert covers London and nearby regions. Several schools have already closed, while transport services have warned of possible delays due to the extreme weather.
Meanwhile, Harry Styles has already made adjustments during earlier tour stops. During his Amsterdam residency, fans complained that parts of the floor section had blocked views. His team reacted by changing the stage setup to improve sightlines for the audience.
That quick move won praise from fans and showed the singer’s willingness to respond to concerns. Now, safety has become the main focus as the Wembley run continues. Harry Styles will perform in London until July 4, with special guest Shania Twain joining him for several shows.
After Wembley, Styles will head to Madison Square Garden for a 30-date residency. The former One Direction star continues to draw huge crowds as his world tour moves into its next phase. For now, Wembley officials will keep the relaxed heatwave rules in place while temperatures remain dangerously high.
