Prime Minister’s Visit to Milton Keynes Disrupted by Farmer Protest, Media Interviews Cancelled

Must read

Milton Keynes, UK – A farmer protest in Milton Keynes has led to the Prime Minister cutting short a planned visit and cancelling scheduled media interviews. The Prime Minister postponed planned media interviews due to concerns about the protest.

The demonstration, reportedly involving tractors, took place on February 13, 2025. Farmer Richard Miles was named as being involved in the protest.

This disruption follows recent debate regarding Milton Keynes’ political landscape, including accusations against the ruling Labour group of prioritizing political interests over residents’ needs in a devolution bid. Opposition councillors have criticized the Labour-led administration for sidelining nearby councils in Northamptonshire concerning their devolution initiative.

Nigel Farage, leader of Reform UK, joined farmers and tractors at Belmont Farm in North London ahead of a rally in Westminster. The tractor rally was organized by Save British Farming as MPs debated an e-petition with more than 148,000 signatures.
