Holly Willoughby’s Media Company Faces Court Over £377,000 Tax Debt

Former This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby’s media company, Roxy Media, is facing serious financial trouble after the High Court revealed it owes £377,000 in unpaid taxes.

Roxy Media, which the TV star co-founded with her husband, television producer Dan Baldwin, specializes in media production and management. The company was hit with a winding-up order earlier this year, giving His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) the authority to pursue its closure if the debt is not settled.

An HMRC spokesperson stated, “We take a supportive approach to dealing with customers who have tax debts and only file winding-up petitions once we’ve exhausted all other options, in order to protect taxpayers’ money.”

Willoughby was not present at the brief court hearing on Wednesday. Chief Insolvency and Companies Court Judge Briggs granted a 12-week adjournment, giving the company until then to settle the outstanding amount, which has already been reduced from an undisclosed original figure.

The case has cast a spotlight on the financial affairs of the popular television personality, who stepped away from This Morning last year after 14 years on the show.
