Natalie Cassidy Criticizes Meghan Markle’s Cooking Show with Blunt Remarks

Must read

Meghan Markle’s latest venture into the lifestyle space with her new cooking show has sparked mixed reactions, with actress Natalie Cassidy sharing her unfiltered thoughts on one particular scene.

The EastEnders star was left unimpressed by Meghan’s choice of attire while preparing food, expressing disbelief at seeing her cook pasta in a white linen dress. Cassidy, who co-hosts a television podcast with fellow actress Joanna Page, pointed out that cooking in such an outfit seemed impractical, especially with ingredients like tomatoes.

Beyond Meghan’s wardrobe choice, Cassidy also took aim at the simplicity of the cooking demonstrations, suggesting that her skills appeared quite basic. She remarked that Meghan was “chopping up some vegetables” in a way that seemed more for show than substance. “Her chopping was quite beginner-ish,” she noted, adding that the dishes presented, including a crudité plate decorated with edible flowers, lacked any real culinary challenge.

Despite her critique, Cassidy clarified that she holds no personal resentment toward Meghan or Prince Harry. “They get a lot of bad press, and I’m not here to have a go at them,” she said. “But as a lifestyle show, I’m sorry—it’s really glossy, it’s really easy. I could put another one on. It is what it is.”

Meghan’s cooking series, which features celebrity guests and entertaining tips, has faced criticism from multiple figures in the entertainment industry. Some have questioned its authenticity, while others feel it lacks depth. However, the show remains part of the larger media projects undertaken by Meghan and Harry since stepping back from royal duties.

With a second season reportedly already filmed and set for release later this year, opinions on the show will likely continue to be divided. Whether it’s a lighthearted lifestyle series or an overproduced attempt at relatability remains a topic of debate.
