Actress Aimee Lou Wood, known for her role in White Lotus, has shared several cryptic messages online after being targeted in a recent Saturday Night Live (SNL) sketch. The controversial segment involved comedian Sarah Sherman impersonating Wood with exaggerated prosthetic teeth, prompting criticism from the actress for being “mean and unfunny.”
The SNL sketch depicted former US President Donald Trump and his team at the fictional White Lotus hotel. Sherman, portraying Aimee’s character Chelsea, mocked her teeth, saying, “Fluoride? What’s that?”
Responding candidly, Aimee stated, “Whilst in honest mode—I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny. I have big gap teeth, not bad teeth. The rest of the skit was punching up, and I/Chelsea was the only one punched down on.”
SNL has since apologized to Wood, prompting the actress to share further cryptic posts on her social media accounts. She reposted content from White Lotus discussing the emotional season three finale, which left her in a reflective and “achy place.” She also highlighted supportive messages from fans and followers.
