Reality TV star Gemma Collins has opened up about the unexpected and distressing side effects of her recent weight-loss journey, revealing she’s been left “horrified” by how her face has changed.
The Diva Forever star, 44, has lost over two stone since starting Mounjaro, a widely used NHS-approved weight loss injection. While she’s pleased with her slimmer figure, Collins shared her growing concerns over a more unwelcome consequence—visible signs of aging.
Taking to Instagram, where she has 2.2 million followers, Collins admitted feeling unsettled by how quickly her appearance has changed. “I really don’t know what’s happened to me… It’s just come on me overnight,” she said, adding that it’s been nearly a year since she last had any cosmetic “tweakments.”
The star said the lines around her eyes had become “next level,” prompting her to question whether the transformation was linked to her weight loss. “I don’t know if it’s since I’ve been losing weight. I sure haven’t got ‘Ozempic face’ yet, but it would be the dream right now,” she joked, referencing the gaunt appearance some associate with rapid weight loss treatments.
Known for embracing her fuller features, Collins stressed that while she appreciates natural beauty and expression, her current look feels unfamiliar. “I want to look natural still. But this just isn’t right… I am 44 but this is taking it to levels that I never, ever imagined it’d get to.”
According to sources close to the star, Collins is now exploring aesthetic options to restore a more youthful appearance, determined to feel confident again as she continues her pursuit of what she calls “perfection.”
