Jake Quickenden has made a surprising revelation about Celebrity Big Brother star Chris Hughes — admitting that Chris insists on sharing a bed with him whenever he stays over.
Chris has recently faced criticism from viewers and housemates for his close bond with fellow contestant JoJo Siwa, with some speculating he’s using the friendship to stay longer in the competition. However, speaking on Late and Live with host AJ Odudu, Jake defended his friend, insisting Chris’s affectionate nature is nothing new.
“It was the same in Love Island with Kem [Cetinay],” Jake explained. “He finds his person and they’re his safety blanket.”
Jake added that even when he visits Chris’s home, he’s not allowed to sleep in the spare room:
“He makes me sleep in bed with him. He wants to have a chat, and he wants to wake up and bring you a cup of tea — that’s just Chris.”
Jake also stressed that the intimate, touchy-feely moments seen between Chris and JoJo are purely platonic, describing JoJo as Chris’s latest “safety blanket.”
“He’s really touchy-feely. I told him before he went into the house to just have fun, and he has. Maybe it’s gone against him a little because he’s isolated himself from the others,” Jake noted.
As the drama unfolds, Chris’s genuine, loyal nature is becoming clearer to fans — even if it’s sparked a few raised eyebrows along the way.
