Woody Cook, son of BBC Radio 2 host Zoe Ball and legendary DJ Fatboy Slim (Norman Cook), has addressed ongoing speculation about a rekindled romance between his parents. Speaking exclusively to OK!, Woody confirmed that while the pair remain close, they are not back together romantically.
The couple, who split in 2016 after 18 years of marriage, have continued to co-parent their two children and maintain a strong friendship. Woody, now 24 and a rising DJ in his own right, said he feels proud to carry forward his parents’ creative legacy while forging his own path in the music industry.
“My parents are still close, but there’s no reunion happening,” Woody clarified. “They’re supportive of each other, and that’s what matters.”
He praised both Zoe and Norman for being “heroic” during difficult times and said that he now feels it’s his turn to support them. Zoe recently stepped down from her Radio 2 breakfast show to focus on her family following the passing of her mother — a decision Woody described as “a brave and loving move.”
Woody also highlighted his younger sister Nelly’s budding career. At just 15, Nelly is already exploring her own creative interests, and Woody teased that “big things” are coming her way.
Despite being the child of two UK entertainment icons, Woody emphasized he doesn’t feel overshadowed. “They’ve given me nothing but inspiration,” he said.
In a world quick to stir rumours, Woody’s comments have set the record straight. Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim may no longer be partners, but their friendship — and focus on family — remains stronger than ever.
