Alice Evans Claps Back at Body-Shaming Trolls after Courtroom Appearance with Ex Ioan Gruffudd

Alice Evans claps back at body-shaming trolls after facing cruel online comments about her appearance during a recent court hearing. The British actress, locked in a bitter child support battle with ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd, took to Instagram to address the hate. Evans, 56, attended the Los Angeles court hearing on July 24 alongside Gruffudd and his pregnant wife, Bianca Wallace. Shortly after, an anonymous troll attacked her weight and fashion choices in a private message. The troll called her “grossly overweight” and mocked her for wearing the same black blouse and skirt multiple times.

On Sunday, Evans shared the hurtful message with her followers. She fired back, questioning the critic’s credibility since the account had no profile picture. She also revealed her pre-court anxiety, admitting she changed outfits repeatedly before settling on her final look. Despite the harsh comments, Evans remained defiant. She emphasized her efforts to lose weight over the past year and her focus on raising her two daughters, Ella, 15, and Elsie, 11. She wrote, “If that means I look fat or old or unfashionable, then so be it.”

The hearing itself was tense but inconclusive. Instead of ruling on Evans’ request for increased child support, the judge postponed the decision until August 12. Currently, Gruffudd pays $4,500 monthly $3,000 for child support and $1,500 in spousal support. Evans recently filed court documents claiming financial hardship. She stated she was evicted from her LA home after failing to pay $6,500 in rent. She also revealed she relied on a GoFundMe campaign, which raised $18,000, and loans from friends to cover expenses.

Gruffudd, however, disputed her claims. In his own court filing, he accused Evans of exaggerating her financial struggles. He alleged she purposely stopped paying rent to manipulate public opinion. He also claimed bank records show she earned over $130,000 in 2024. Additionally, Gruffudd expressed distress over messages from their daughters, who echoed Evans’ fears of homelessness. Evans denied coaching the girls, insisting they were aware of the family’s financial strain.

The former couple met on the set of 102 Dalmatians over two decades ago. They married in 2007 before Gruffudd filed for divorce in 2021. Since then, their legal battles have played out both in court and online. Alice Evans claps back at body-shaming trolls with resilience, proving she won’t let online cruelty derail her focus on her children. As the August hearing approaches, the dispute shows no signs of slowing down.
