Cicor specializes in electronic manufacturing and printed circuit boards. Its Newport site supplies components to aerospace, defence, industrial automation, and medical technology sectors. Lee Harrhy, Head of Operations at Newport, said the new contract will quickly benefit both staff and production.
“This expansion brings new technology and jobs,” Harrhy said. “It strengthens our aerospace and defence operations and secures Cicor as a leading European manufacturer.”
The company has not revealed the aerospace client for commercial reasons. However, the project involves high-reliability technology for global defence applications.
