A Harry Potter stars reunion delighted fans after several cast members met at a Premier League match this week. Oliver Phelps, Gary Oldman and David Bradley posed together during the game between Aston Villa and Chelsea FC.
The actors appeared together inside a corporate box at Villa Park on Wednesday. Fans quickly celebrated the unexpected gathering online.
Phelps, who played George Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, shared the photo on social media.
In the picture, the actor stands beside Oldman and Bradley. Oldman famously portrayed Sirius Black in the franchise. Meanwhile, Bradley played Hogwarts caretaker Argus Filch.
Referencing the meet-up, Phelps wrote: “Some friendly faces at the football tonight.” However, it remains unclear whether the reunion was planned or if the actors simply ran into each other during the match.
Interestingly, this Harry Potter stars reunion comes just days after another cast get-together.
Earlier in the week, Tom Felton supported Daniel Radcliffe at his Broadway performance. Radcliffe currently stars in the stage production Every Brilliant Thing in New York.
Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the films, shared photos of the pair embracing backstage. He also posted a throwback image from their time working together in the wizarding franchise.
The actors captioned the post: “Broomsticks to Broadway.”
Despite their characters being rivals on screen, Radcliffe and Felton have remained close friends over the years. Their friendship has endured even as the pair publicly expressed different views on comments made by J. K. Rowling about gender identity.
Nevertheless, many fans continue to celebrate moments when the original cast reunites.
Meanwhile, the Harry Potter franchise continues to evolve. HBO is currently developing a new TV adaptation of the books. The upcoming series will feature a brand-new cast portraying Harry, Hermione and Ron.
The show is expected to debut in 2027. However, reunions like this remind fans why the original cast still holds a special place in the franchise’s history.
