During a walk with girlfriend Jackie Apostel, Cruz Beckham was asked if he had any birthday wishes for Brooklyn, who turned 27 on Wednesday. Cruz replied simply: “Happy birthday.” When questioned about the possibility of repairing the family’s relationship, he added: “I hope to.”
Earlier, Cruz shared a childhood photo of himself and Brooklyn, captioning it: “I love you,” signaling a desire to reconnect despite ongoing tensions.
Fans first noticed a rift when Brooklyn stopped attending family events and publicly criticized his parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, accusing them of controlling narratives and maintaining “inauthentic relationships.” Brooklyn also distanced himself from younger brothers Romeo and Cruz.

In November, he shared an Instagram Story reading: “Life is too short to be silent, at least talk it out,” alongside a clip showing brotherly moments. He also previously wrote: “It takes 43 muscles in your face to frown and 17 to smile. Be kind and tell the truth,” emphasizing the importance of honesty and family unity.
Cruz has frequently highlighted happier family moments, sharing images of him, Brooklyn, and Romeo together on trips like a beach volleyball outing in Rio de Janeiro. These gestures suggest that, while Brooklyn remains distant, Cruz is making consistent efforts to mend the sibling bond.
