Helen Flanagan has fired back at critics after receiving backlash for posting a video of herself dancing in lingerie. The 34-year-old actress and mother-of-three stunned in a black lingerie set with a suspender belt, using the post to encourage women to support one another.
Addressing the criticism, Helen told her followers: “I get a lot of comments saying, ‘You’re a mum, you shouldn’t be lingerie modelling,’ but I’ve always done it… As women, we should support and empower each other. More importantly, we should be kind, as that’s what I teach my daughters.”
Her post received an outpouring of support from fans, including her boyfriend Robbie Talbot, who responded with a gobsmacked emoji. The former I’m A Celebrity contestant has previously been targeted by online trolls for sharing bold and confident content.
Helen, who shares Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three with her footballer ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, has been open about her body confidence journey. In 2023, she underwent a breast augmentation, revealing she made the decision after losing weight post-breakup.
“I didn’t want my boobs to be too big for my frame, but I needed them to fill out the skin that needed lifting,” she previously explained.
