Soho Crash Death: Influencer Dies After Nightclub Incident

Must read

A tragic crash in Soho has shocked London. A social media influencer died days after a late-night collision.

Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, died six days after a car hit her and several pedestrians. The crash happened on Argyll Street in Soho at about 4:30am on April 19. Emergency services arrived quickly and treated multiple injured people at the scene. However, Zakrzewska later died from her injuries. Police confirmed her death on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the crash also seriously injured another victim. A 58-year-old man suffered life-changing injuries. Authorities have charged Gabrielle Carrington in connection with the case. She previously appeared on The X Factor as part of Miss Dynamix.

Initially, prosecutors charged Carrington with attempted murder. After Zakrzewska’s death, they plan to upgrade the charge to murder. In addition, police accuse her of dangerous driving and drink-driving. They say she was nearly twice over the legal alcohol limit. Furthermore, officers allege her car struck two more people, including a woman and a security guard.

At the same time, detectives continue to investigate the incident. Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell leads the case. She offered condolences to the victim’s family. She also urged the public not to speculate online. Moreover, she warned people not to share graphic footage, saying it could affect legal proceedings.

On the other hand, public support for Zakrzewska’s family has grown significantly. A fundraising page has now raised nearly £18,000. Her mother posted an emotional message online. In it, she described her daughter as kind and warm-hearted. She also thanked supporters for their messages and help.

Notably, the case has gained widespread attention on social media. Zakrzewska had a large following on TikTok and Instagram under the name “Klaudiaglam.” Meanwhile, Carrington appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court earlier this week. The court remanded her in custody.

She was due to appear at the Old Bailey on May 19. Police continue to gather evidence. They also continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
