Lauren Bennett, the British singer who gained worldwide recognition through the global hit “Party Rock Anthem,” has died at the age of 36. The news of Lauren Bennett’s death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from former bandmates, friends and fans, who remembered her talent and vibrant spirit.

On Monday, Bennett’s former girl group, G.R.L., confirmed her death in an emotional Instagram statement. In the heartfelt tribute, the group described her as a “beautiful spirit” whose warmth and kindness touched everyone around her.

“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” the group wrote.

“Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us.

“Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved.”

Finally, the group concluded its tribute by writing: “Rest peacefully, sweet Lauren. You will always be in our hearts.” At this stage, officials have not revealed Bennett’s cause of death. Meanwhile, Kent County Council’s inquest schedule states that Lauren Bennett-Wormald died on May 29 at the age of 36. The council is scheduled to hold an inquest on October 30.

During her career, Bennett rose to international fame after appearing alongside LMFAO and GoonRock on the 2011 smash hit “Party Rock Anthem.” As a result, the song became one of the defining pop anthems of the decade and achieved enormous commercial success around the world. In Ireland, the single spent four weeks at No. 1 and remained on the singles chart for 26 weeks. Additionally, it ranked as the country’s fourth best-selling single of 2011.

Before reaching global fame, Bennett performed with the girl group Paradiso Girls. There, she appeared on the group’s 2009 single “Patron Tequila,” which featured Lil Jon and Eve. Later, Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin recruited Bennett to join G.R.L. in 2013.

Soon after, the group released its debut single “Vacation” for the Smurfs 2 soundtrack. It then followed with “Ugly Heart,” which became the group’s biggest UK hit after reaching No. 11 on the UK Singles Chart. However, tragedy struck in 2014 when fellow member Simone Battle died. Following her death, G.R.L. released the tribute single “Lighthouse” and partnered with the mental health charity Give an Hour to raise awareness.

Although the group later disbanded, its members briefly reunited in 2020. Now, Lauren Bennett’s death has brought many of her former collaborators together again as they remember her life and career. Meanwhile, former Paradiso Girls bandmate Aria Crescendo also shared an emotional tribute on Instagram.

“RIP Lauren, my sister, my best friend. I can’t believe you left us,” Crescendo wrote.

“We spoke a week before it all happened, and I could not imagine that would be the last time I would be able to talk to you. Love you and miss you forever.”

Many praised her powerful vocals, while others reflected on her contribution to one of pop music’s biggest hits. Throughout her career, Bennett performed with several successful groups and helped create songs that continue to resonate with audiences around the world. As a result, her work with Paradiso Girls, G.R.L. and LMFAO introduced her voice to millions of listeners.
