Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie to Celebrate Easter Privately, Skipping Royal Service

Must read

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, known as the york sisters, are planning alternative celebrations this Easter. Instead of attending the traditional royal service, they will spend the day quietly with their families. The york sisters have kept a lower profile since the Epstein files emerged earlier this year.

King Charles and Queen Camilla, along with the Prince and Princess of Wales, will attend the Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. Several other senior royals will also participate in the ceremony. However, the york sisters appear ready to enjoy a more private day.

Beatrice, married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, lives primarily in the Cotswolds. She also maintains an apartment in St James’s Palace in London. She and Edoardo raise two daughters, Sienna and Athena. Beatrice also helps raise Edoardo’s son, Wolfie.

Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank divide their time between Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace and their home in Portugal. They raise two children, August and Ernest. Like her sister, Eugenie plans a private Easter celebration this year.

Although Buckingham Palace has not issued an official statement, sources confirm that the york sisters coordinated their plans with King Charles. The sisters remain part of the family and will attend future gatherings. Previously, they joined the royal family for Christmas services at Sandringham.

Last year, Eugenie spent Easter with her sons after attending the Windsor service. She shared a photo of Ernest exploring by a lake with the caption “Happy Easter.” In 2024, she opened the Little Egg Hunt with the Elephant Family charity, which King Charles and Queen Camilla jointly oversee.

The york sisters have maintained goodwill with their relatives over the years. In 2021, Eugenie shared a photo with her husband and baby August, wishing followers a Happy Easter. She also quoted Queen Elizabeth II’s message during the pandemic, emphasizing the enduring hope of Easter.

Beatrice does not use a public social media account, so she keeps her celebrations private. Despite skipping the church service, the sisters continue royal traditions in personal ways.

The york sisters focus on family and private time this Easter. They balance personal life with royal responsibilities. By skipping the formal service, they still stay connected to the royal family and its celebrations.
