Celebrity Gogglebox has announced a new cast ahead of its return later this week. The show will mark its 50th episode and open its eighth season.
Julian Clary and Nigel Havers will appear together as part of the new Celebrity Gogglebox cast. The pair will watch and react to popular TV shows from their sofa. Clary said taking part felt like a “treat”. He joked that he added “refinement” to the commentary. He also joked about Nigel Havers staying awake during filming.
Havers said working with Clary felt like a “dream”. He added a humorous comment attributed to Clary in his statement. The Celebrity Gogglebox cast will also include several other well-known pairs. George Clarke will appear with podcast co-host Max Balegde. Harry Aikines-Aryeetey will appear with Matt Morsia.
Other confirmed duos include Olivia Attwood with her mother Jennifer, Vernon Kay with Paddy McGuinness, and Ashley Banjo with Perri Kiely. The new series also features Bez and Shaun Ryder, Roman and Martin Kemp, Nick Grimshaw with his niece Liv, and Stephen Mangan with his sister Anita.
Vicky Pattison and Pete Wicks also join the lineup. Denise Van Outen and Johnny Vaughan appear together as well. Mo Gilligan and Babatunde Aleshe complete the cast. The Celebrity Gogglebox cast brings together entertainers, presenters, and athletes for the new season. The show returns later this week on Channel 4.
