Singer Jesy Nelson has provided fans with an uplifting update on her pregnancy, revealing her unborn twins are “still going strong,” despite recent health concerns.
The former Little Mix star, who previously disclosed she’d been rushed to hospital for an urgent procedure to protect her twins, is currently dealing with pre-stage twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS). TTTS is a rare pregnancy complication affecting the placenta, posing serious risks to unborn babies.
Thankfully, Jesy confirmed the emergency procedure was successful, stating that the TTTS had “cleared up” following the intervention. However, the singer remains under close hospital supervision due to her cervix being “very, very short,” raising concerns her waters could break prematurely. As a precaution, Jesy now uses a wheelchair to help her move around.
Jesy shared the latest update on Instagram, addressing her 9.7 million followers. She expressed gratitude and relief, saying, “We just wanted to come on here because we are another week further along, and we feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong.”
Jesy also thanked her supporters for their heartfelt messages. “You guys have been so lovely; we’ve seen all your beautiful messages and stories. It’s really helped us keep going,” she added. Her partner, Zion, echoed her sentiments, expressing his gratitude to their supporters.
Still hospitalized for careful monitoring, Jesy humorously noted that while they couldn’t fully enjoy the current sunny weather, Zion does take her for short outings in her wheelchair nearby.
