The investigation recorded comments from senior Reform UK figures about political donations. The report later prompted two senior aides to step down.
Farage attempted to reduce the impact of the allegations during his speech.
He described the secretly recorded conversations as “loose pub talk”. He also rejected claims that the party had accepted questionable funds.
Farage insisted that Reform UK had “broken no laws”. He also said the party had not “taken any dodgy money”.

He also dismissed the undercover investigation as a report produced by “some pranksters”.
His response highlighted the growing frustration within Reform UK over questions about the donations allegations.
Reform UK could now face further scrutiny from authorities.
Scotland Yard said it was assessing reports connected to the allegations. The Electoral Commission could also examine the claims.
The controversy therefore remains unresolved despite Farage’s attempts to draw a line under it.
